Linda L. (Berger) Lesher, beloved wife, mother, and cherished member of the Bernville community, has passed away at the age of 79. She was born on December 16, 1944, in Hamburg. Linda was known for her kindness, unwavering dedication to her family, her love of cooking and baking, and her contributions to the community she loved.
Linda's journey through life was marked by her profound love for her beloved husband, Harold R. Lesher, to whom she was married for 63 years. Together, they built a beautiful life. Linda's commitment to their shared endeavor was unwavering as she poured her heart and soul into every aspect of their work. Her tireless efforts were a testament to her strong work ethic and determination.
In addition to being a devoted wife, Linda had numerous other accomplishments that made her life meaningful and impactful. She worked for the Hamburg Area School District as the Food Services Manager at Strausstown Elementary School for 30 years. She was a member of Farm Women of Pennsylvania, where she formed lasting friendships with like-minded individuals who shared her passion. Linda also participated in the Shartlesville Grange and attended Friedens UCC Church.
But above all else, Linda treasured the time spent with her family. Her children Glenn Lesher, Lori Haupt (wife of Scott), and Karen Shchuka (wife of Adrian) were the center of her world. Nothing brought Linda more joy than being a loving mother and witnessing the success and happiness of her children.
Linda's love extended beyond her immediate family to embrace the next generation as well. She took great delight in her grandchildren, Joshua (Shelby), Jessica, Jacob (Courtney), Alicia, Nathan, Gabriel, and Ariana, and great-grandchildren, Bentley, Caleb, and Parker.
She is survived by her siblings, Marie Moll, Elsie Readinger, and David Berger (Joanne) and a sister-in-law, Janet Berger. Linda's brothers Lester Berger and Dennis Berger have preceded her in death but are remembered with love and fondness
Linda left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her genuine kindness, compassionate spirit, and unwavering commitment to making a difference will forever be remembered.
To honor Linda's life, visitation will take place on January 29th at Kirkhoff Funeral Home located at 206 North Main Street in Bernville. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, in Linda's memory.
