Obituary of Linda Luecke
Linda Luecke, 87, of Little Egg Harbor Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Jewish Home Rehabilitation and Nursing in Freehold Township. Linda was born in the city of Lyck in East Prussia. She was raised and had lived in Bierbach an der Blies, Germany before moving to England. Linda, along with her husband, Horst, came to the United States in 1966 settling in Yonkers, NY. She raised her family in the town of Closter in Bergen County, NJ and retired to Little Egg Harbor Township in 2016.
Linda was a dedicated homemaker for her family but worked as a dental assistant prior to raising her children. She fueled her passion for footwear and gossip working at Shoe Town for many years. Linda believed in retail therapy and could always find a good bargain sorting through items at a thrift store. Knitting and sewing were skills she had yet her green thumb knew no limits. From her vegetable garden to her numerous house plants, Linda could make anything grow. In retirement, she and her husband took cruises throughout the Caribbean, Europe, to the Galapagos, through the Panama Canal and around the tip of Cape Horn.
Most of all, Linda was a loving wife of fifty-eight years, a caring mother, and adoring grandmother.
Linda was predeceased by her brother, Helmut and her sister, Christel. She is survived by her husband, Horst; two children, Cliff Luecke and his partner, Emilie and Cristin Pineiro and her husband, Jaime; and three grandchildren, Eric, Nina and Alex.
All arrangements are private at this time by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a date, time and location to be announced. Keeping with Linda's wishes, please refrain from sending white flowers or poppies. For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
