Linda Shelton Moorefield of Scottsburg passed away on April 8, 2025 at the age of 78. She was born in Dothan, Alabama on September 27, 1946 to the late William Shelton and the late Ruth Moss Shelton. She was married to the late Chester Moorefield.
Linda was a member of Revelation Baptist Church. She was a great cook, enjoyed shopping, eating out but especially loved to travel and seeing the sights of this world.
Linda is survived by her son, Bryant “Keith” Moorefield and wife Susan of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Tyler L. Moorefield and Jacob Ryan Moorefield both of Danville; great grandchild, Emerie Grace Moorefield; one sister, Carolyn S. Lewis of Ringgold, VA. Linda was preceded in death by one brother, William R. Shelton.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Morris officiating. Burial to follow in Clover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Carolyn S. Lewis of 564 Ferguson Rd., Ringgold, VA..
