Linda Angela Marchand Prattini, New Orleans LA , 84, died at home on October 6, 2025.

She was born September 9, 1941, the daughter of Paul John Marchand Jr. and Gloria Delesdernier Marchand McCurnin.

Linda graduated from Sacred Heart and was a proud alumni. She attended UNO. She retired from Jewish Family Services as an office manager.

Linda loved her life in New Orleans. There wasn't one part of the city she didn't love. She was always going to events and parties throughout the city. She was always the life of the party. She loved to bowl. Linda was the founder of the Zodiacs, a women's bowling team famous for its elaborate costumes. She sewed and designed the outfits. She competed with them for 55 years in various tournaments, most notably the USBC (WIBC) National tournament. Where she had received honors for over. 50 years of competing. Her Zodiac costumes are in the Bowling Hall of Fame. She was inducted into the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame in New Orleans and named a People's Health Champion for 2016 at her favorite Sunday activity, a Saints game.

In the 1990s Linda also founded the I'm a Dancer, dance club. She would plan parties and gatherings at various clubs and places throughout the area. You could catch her Dancing the night away with friends and her beloved "Dancing Sal". Her Christmas Dance parties were events not to be missed. She attended multiple carnival balls every year. She would fill a whole float with people in Chris Owens' Easter Parade.

Linda loved photography and travel. She always had a camera and would photograph everything. She visited 49 states and multiple countries including Italy, Spain, and Mexico.

She was predeceased by her beloved Sal Anselmo, We can envision her dancing in heaven with him.

Linda's survivors Include: her sister, Carol Marchand Arnaud, and her brother, Paul J Marchand. Also surviving are the many nieces and nephews: Cherie and James Maser, Angie Maser, John Arnaud, Robert Arnaud, Sharon and Kevin Stokes, Lindsey Stokes, Hallie Stokes, David and Kim Arnaud, Hanah Arnaud, Nicole Arnaud, Ruby Roberts Paul and Monique Schaefer, Josephine and Eric Jackson, Frances Jackson, Bryce Schaefer and Merlin and Tracy Schaefer, Marley Schaefer, and Mitchell Schaefer.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA and on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 9am to 10am St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 4640 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be held at 10am and interment will follow at Hope Mausoleum.
