Linda M. Printup

AKWESASNE – Linda M. Printup, 80, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born February 14, 1945 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of the late Helen (McDonald) Rouselle) and was raised by her aunt and uncle the late David and Amelia (McDonald) Lazore. On December 24, 1966, she married Arnold Printup at St. Regis Catholic Church. They were blessed with two children before their marriage ended.

Linda first worked for a time at General Motors before becoming a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe. She was a communicant of St. Regis Catholic Church and a member of the Akwesasne Death Benefits and the St. Regis Mohawk Senior Citizens. Linda enjoyed visits to the casino, car rides – especially in the fall, garage sales, chatting on the phone, flower gardening, and family gatherings.

Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Stacey Holcomb of Brasher Falls, her son and companion, Arnold Printup III and Christie Boots of Akwesasne; her grandchildren, Dylan and Kyleigh Holcomb; her sister Sandra and Julius Tremblay of Bombay, Diane McDonald of Akwesasne, and Gail and Rick McDonald of Snye; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Eddie Russelle; and many beloved fur babies including her most recent cat, Baby.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where friends may call Monday and Tuesday 4-7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 11:00 AM at St. Regis Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Akwesasne Animal Society or St. Regis Mohawk Senior Citizens.
