Lorraine M. Mossow

NORFOLK – Lorraine M. Mossow, 86, peacefully passed away Sunday morning, September 14, 2025 at her home.

Lorraine was born December 8, 1938 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Leo and Letha (Jenne) Leggue and attended Parishville-Hopkinton Central Schools. On October 3, 1959, she married Leland "Joe" Mossow at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Taylor, officiating.

Lorraine worked for a time at McLean's Nursery, before working with her husband in his business, Joe's Backhoe Service. She was a member of the Sand Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed knitting, watching birds, and cooking. She was a dedicated homemaker, caring for her family.

Lorraine is survived by her loving husband, Joe; her children, Sherry (Phillip) Magnanti of Massena and Philip (Cindy) Mossow of St. Regis Falls; her grandchildren, Jodie Addison (Justin), Christopher Mossow, Jamie Haney (Ian); her step grandson, Danny Matthew Devlin (Bonnie) and his son, Angus; her step granddaughters, Tina Harmon and Darcy Ashley and their families, her great grandchildren, Kaleb Devlin, Kaiden, Cassidy (Braedon), and Karson Addison, Zane, Zoey, Zaden, and Zenin Mossow, Wyatt McGlaughlin and Wayde Haney; her beloved canine companion, Vinney; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Leona Woodruff.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where friends may call Wednesday starting at 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, Massena Meals on Wheels, or Sand Hill Baptist Church.
