MALINDA M. PITTS
MASENA- Malinda M. Pitts, 88, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Malinda was born on March 15, 1937, in California, PA, daughter of the late Davd H. and Isabelle (Bickerstaffe) Underwood. She attended Massena Central School and married Bernard L. Pitts on September 3, 1955 at the Church of the Sacred Heart. Bernard predeceased her on June 15, 2017.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Malinda was also a member of the St. Lawrence Rebakah #348, Eureka Rebakah #129, the International LAPM #8, Leo LAPM #14, Auburn LAPM #61, and Binghamton LAPM #13 as an associate member. She also belonged to the Crescent Encampment LEA #82, Manlius LEA #7, Johson City LEA #61 as associate member and the Seaway Lodge #41.
Malinda first worked at McKenna's Diner in 1955, Ponderosa, and at the Alcoa cafeteria for 6 years. She was a bus monitor Massena Central School for special needs and a lunch monitor at Nightengale school.
She enjoyed crocheting, baking, bingo and helping others. She loved to sing, especially in the church choir, attending lodge meetings and especially enjoyed going for a drive to watch the deer. Her and Bernard had worked many Bingo nights at the Odd Fellows in Ogdensburg and in Massena for years. She cherished her time with family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Malinda is survived by her four children, Charles T. Pitts of Norfolk; Phillip (Kathy) Pitts of Massena; Charlamaine Mitchell of Massena; and Rebecca (Timothy) Jenner of Jeffersonville; ten grandchildren, Edward, Michael, Jeff, Belle, Angela, Duane, Jason, Erica, Morgan and MaeLynn; 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM with Rev. Brett Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Louisville Community Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family at 46 Cook street immediately following the burial.
Memorial donations may be made in Malinda's memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence.
