Linda was born in Centralia, IL on February 14, 1952, the daughter of Charles and JoAnna (nee Grzegorek) Kania, Jr.
Linda graduated from Nashville High School in Nashville, IL, in 1970. She worked at Decca/MCA Records in Pinckneyville, later attended Rend Lake College in Ina, IL, and was also employed at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL. Linda was a practicing Catholic. She deeply loved her family, especially her granddaughters, treasuring every moment spent with them. Linda also enjoyed gardening, taking great pride in her beautiful and extensive flower garden and dancing a polka dance.
Left to mourn her passing is her son, Joe Przygoda and wife Jessica of Ashley; 2 granddaughters, Alivia and Ava Przygoda; brother, Larry Kania of Pinckneyville; sister, Jackie (Steve) Witges of Teutopolis; special cousin, Carol (Jim) Brand of Pinckneyville; 6 nieces and nephews, Natasha (Josh) Plumlee of Pinckneyville, Lauren Kania of St. Louis, MO, Melissa (Dylan) Halterman of Pinckneyville, Ryan (Ann) Witges of Teutopolis, Aaron (Chelsey) Witges of Effingham and Tyler (Kaitlin) Witges of Teutopolis; 12 great nieces and nephews, 2 aunts, Agnes Kellerman of Palos Heights and Frances Kellerman of Pinckneyville; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary Kania.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in DuBois, IL on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 10 A.M. with Fr. George Nwachukwu officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
