Mr. Roger H. Greten of Coulterville, IL, departed this life at Mercy Hospital South, in St. Louis, MO on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 4:22 P.M. He had attained the age of 76 years, 1 month and 19 days.

Roger was born on August 30, 1949, in Oakdale, IL, the son of Herbert and Lorene (Krupp) Greten. He was united in marriage to RosEllen Stern on December 26, 1970, and she survives his passing.

Roger attended St. Ann's Catholic Grade School, Nashville High School and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. In 1971, he received his bachelor's degree in agriculture industries from SIU-C. He was employed by the Washington County Service Company as a farm automation specialist, and he also worked at the University of Illinois Extension. Roger was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill, IL.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife RosEllen Greten of Coulterville, IL; 2 sons, Josh Greten and his wife Karri of Lively Grove, IL and Zach Greten and wife Jessica of Nashville, IL; grandchildren, Paige, Claire and Grace Greten; brother, Rick (Bobbi Duffie) Greten of Oakdale, IL; 2 sisters-in-law, Charlene (Sterling) Stiegman of Nashville, IL and Marilyn (Donald) Huber of Bridgeton, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Cynthia Greten.

Per the wishes of Roger and his family, cremation will be performed and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Nashville High School Music Department or Nashville Middle School Music Department and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
