Darlene Greten Obituary

She married Henry Greten on June 11, 2011. Darlene was a devout Christian who gave all her faith to God. She was a member of Loyalty Baptist Church in Eden, IL. Darlene worked at World Color Press in Sparta, IL for many years. She enjoyed arts, crafts, and baking different dishes. Darlene loved to be in her garden, tending to her flowers and enjoying life on the farm. She cared for animals of all kinds, and always had a pet cat or dog at the house.
Darlene is survived by four close friends – Linda (Charles) Bird of Marissa, IL, Judy (née, Burns) Pautler of Sparta, IL, Evan (Crystal) Shubert of Okawville, IL and Lloyd Shubert of Coulterville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Henry A. Greten who passed away on September 14, 2021; one brother – Kevin Schwarz.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Loyalty Baptist Church or Coulterville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center Activity Fund.

Graveside Services will be held at Bethel Cemetery in Swanwick, IL on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Foster officiating.
