Linda Sue (Tennison) Redshaw, age 72, passed away in her home on Thursday, October 30, 2025, following a short illness with her loving family by her side.
Linda was born on January 28th, 1953, to Jim and Mary Margarete (Long) Tennison in Monett, MO. She was one of four children to include Kenneth (deceased), Mary Helen Tyhurst, and Darlene Champion. She passed surrounded by family.
Linda had four sons: Mike and wife Megan of Neosho, Ryan and wife Shara of Kansas City, MO, Bryan of Arnold, MO, and Greg of Republic. She had three grandsons, Matt, Drew, and Jackson. She also had a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved.
Linda had a passion for music, learning to play the piano at a young age. She played the piano for the gospel group The Rickmans for some time, as well as a number of churches and other events. Most recently she played for the First Congregational Church in Pierce City and the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Monett
Linda was retired, having worked for several organizations working with bookkeeping and office administration, including many years at Quality Window Manufacturing in Monett, which was owned and operated by her mother. She also served as a public servant as the Purdy City Tax Collector, an officer of the Purdy PTSO, and various other organizations, especially those related to her sons' activities.
Linda enjoyed gardening, managing to keep a small garden even up to her passing. She canned numerous quarts of various produce each year, particularly green beans and tomatoes from her gardens.
She also enjoyed cooking, particularly baking. She baked and decorated cakes for her boys' birthday growing up and always enjoyed baking their cake or pie of choice as adults. She thoroughly enjoyed the holidays and baking cookies with her grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Pierce City, MO. Pastor Russell Brammer and Reverend Angi Tharakan will be officiating. Interment will follow in King's Prairie Cemetery, Monett. Visitation will be held at Buchannan Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to the King's Prairie Cemetery.
