It is with deep sadness that we share that our beloved Linda M. Reynolds of Kensington, NH passed away on January 8th, 2023 after a prolonged illness.
She was born in Newton, MA, on June 6th, 1957 to the late Frank and Doris (Read) Pettis and grew up in Wakefield, MA. In her early childhood, she loved camping with her family throughout New England and Cape Cod. At the age of 14, the family moved to Hyannis, MA. There she enjoyed spending many summer afternoons at the beach with her family and friends. As an adult, she married and raised her family in Barnstable, MA with David Reynolds. Linda and her twin sister Kathryn often spent winters traveling to the gulf coast of Florida, where she enjoyed the beach and spending time with friends. Linda was a long time employee of Eastward Ho! Country Club until her retirement in 2015. Shortly after her retirement she moved with her twin sister Kathryn to Portsmouth, NH to be closer to family.
She was a loving mother to her two children, Katy and Elliot. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren, Casey, 3 1/2 and Anna, 6 months. Linda's favorite past times were gardening in her beautiful yard in Barnstable, where she hosted many parties for her friends and family. She was known for her outstanding cooking, from lasagna with homemade ricotta to homegrown veggies - no one ever went hungry when visiting. At Christmastime, the family all looked forward to her scratch made coconut cake and fish stews. Her love and hospitality will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter Katy and and her husband Conor O'Donohoe of Melrose, MA and their children Casey and Anna; her son Elliot Reynolds of Dallas, TX; her twin sister Kathyrn Pettis of Kensington, NH; her sister Pauline and her husband Ed Manix of Kensington, NH; her sister Barbara and her husband Pat Dacey of Merrimac, MA and their children Daniel, Kevin, and Melanie; her sister Mary and her husband Steve Hukalowicz of Marstons Mills, MA and their son Artemis; her brother Steven Pettis of Riverside, CA and his sons Alex and Michael; her brother Michael Pettis and his wife Colleen and their daughter Leah of Santa Rosa, CA; and brother Kenny Pettis of Panama City, FL; as well as several cousins in the Read family of South Weymouth, MA.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 16th at 1:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St, Exeter, NH, followed by a recption at the funeral home as well.
