Somersworth, NH – Linda S. Rossiter, 66, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Born on April 21, 1959 in Norwich, New York, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Conroy) Stratton. Linda graduated from Norwich High School (1977) and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from SUNY Morrisville before studying at the Culinary Institute of America. Linda was a natural caretaker with a gift for hospitality, for making people feel welcome, comfortable, and at ease.

In 1991, Linda married Tucker Rossiter. Together they made a wonderful life in New Hampshire, and then spent their later years in Mentor, Ohio. After Tucker's passing, Linda relocated to Somersworth, where she became a dedicated and welcoming presence as the lead receptionist for the Residence at Silver Square. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

Linda was a diligent, capable and reliable employee. Over the years she worked for many employers including Dartmouth College and most recently at the Residence at Silver Square. Her warm and welcoming nature defined both her professional and personal lives. Linda was very dedicated to family, never missing an opportunity to do something special for everyone's birthday. Linda was young at heart with a cheerful, inquisitive and mischievous spirit. She was always ready to help you in any way she could and she would not quit on you. Linda was always "on" when she was around family, bringing a new game, a homemade gift or a curiosity for the children in her life.

Left to cherish Linda's memory are Tucker's children, Amy and Matthew; grandchildren Sam, Lauryn, Jack and Anna; Linda's brothers and their wives, Edwin and Lisa Stratton, Richard and Deborah Stratton and Peter and Monica Stratton and her nieces and nephews Paul, Maria, Catherine, Daniel, Meghan, Rhett, Andrew & Joe. Linda will also be remembered fondly by her extended family, including Alice Conroy Beaudreau and Maryann Conroy Stewart, as well as current and past co-workers and all who were blessed to know her.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 7th at St. Martins Church in Somersworth, N.H. at 10:30 with a visitation beforehand at the church and a reception following the funeral at the Residence at Silver Square. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to her parish in Somersworth, St. Ignatius of Loyola or a donation to your own preferred charitable organization.

The family would also like to thank Hanna at Tasker Funeral home for her kind and patient assistance in making the funeral arrangements for Linda whose death was sudden and unexpected.
