Linda Simon Obituary
Linda L. Simon, a warm and kind-hearted individual, peacefully left this world on November 20, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on September 29, 1953, Linda educated herself at Our Lady of The Elms, where she laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication to her career at ACME Deli Department. Known for her welcoming demeanor, she made countless connections and friends throughout her life.
Linda’s family was always her greatest joy. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured. Linda is survived by her ex-husband, George Simon; her sons, Amos Minard and Lonnie McElcar; and her daughter-in-law, Laura McElcar. Meanwhile, her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Taylor Minard, Harley McElcar Dulaney, Joseph McElcar, Giuliana McElcar, and Jacob Spicer, as well as her great-grandchildren, Colton McElcar, Houston Dulaney, and Ella Dulaney.
Linda is predeceased by her beloved parents, Joseph McElcar and Velma McElcar, who instilled in her the values of kindness and community that she exemplified throughout her life. Her gentle spirit will be missed dearly, but her influence will continue to resonate within the hearts of those she loved and cared for.
