Linda Myrle Gunnell Skinner, born April 17, 1947 in Malta, Idaho to Eudean Hawkins Gunnell and Lillie Beth Smith Gunnell, passed away in her home in Herriman, Utah, Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Linda had a carefree childhood and was so loved! She enjoyed being with her Grandpa Gunnell on the farm and playing with her sisters. She grew up in McCammon, Idaho and graduated from Marsh Valley High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her Savior, serving in various callings throughout her life.
She met Gerald K. Skinner while he was working in McCammon and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 14, 1966. Linda worked hard as a mom raising seven children. She was constantly cooking and doing laundry for her family of nine! Later on, as the children were older, she worked part-time out of the home.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughters Alexa Dubbeld, Natasha Dubbeld and Robin Simmons; grandson Deven Skinner; and by her parents. She is survived by her children: Thad (Wendy) Skinner, Nichole, (Matt) Earl, Adrena (Kevin) Wall, Reese (Cobra) Skinner, LaDawn Dubbeld, Dwight (Amber) Skinner, Monique (Kevin) Forman; grandchildren, Tegan, Megan, Shelby, Katelyn, Jaxon, Janae, Joshua, Jade, Breeze, Bray, Renee, Brin, Braxston, BriAnna, Kaden and Britton; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Bonnie (Maurice) Nielson, Shauna Gunnell, Denise (Don) Olson and Teresa (Kelly) Rasmussen.
A viewing will be held Sunday, November 2, 2025, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, followed by a graveside service Monday, November 3, 2025, 12:00 noon at the Idaho Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, Idaho.
