Linda Jo Strange Brown, 83, of Laurens, and wife of the late Roger Hunter Brown, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at her home.
Born in Laurens, Linda was the daughter of the late Melford Joseph and Edna Bishop Strange. She retired after 25 years as a School Food Service Supervisor and was a member of Lisbon Presbyterian Church in Mountville.
Linda is survived by her children, Donna Brown Gooch (David, Sr.) and Jan Brown Skinner (Chris); a brother, Wayne Strange; all of Laurens; grandchildren, Will Owings (Erin) of Fort Mill, Ben Owings (Ellison) of Greenville, Erin Owings Patterson (Tori) of Laurens, Craig Skinner (Casey) of Columbia, and Katie Skinner Jay (JK) of Laurens; and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by a sister, Judy Strange Kinne.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Lisbon Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Meg Marley, Rev. M. Hampton Hunter, III, and Rev. Alex D. Henderson.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends in the fellowship center of the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lisbon Presbyterian Church.
