Linda Lou (Gregg) Taylor, better known to everyone as "Mamaw" passed away at the age of 79 in the arms of Jesus on 12-7-24. She was the best mother anyone could have and was always thinking of others. She was a devoted Christian and faithfully attended church while her health allowed. Linda retired from Magnavox after 36 years and after her retirement she devoted her time to others through teaching Sunday School, working with the church youth, as well as volunteering at Chuckey-Doak Middle School and Doak Elementary School. Linda spent 12 years with the Foster Grandparent Program with the last 5 as the Administrative Assistant of the Grandparent Program. Linda was a true inspiration to us all. She was survived by her children, Roger & Cassie Wampler, Tim & Katina Taylor, Sandra Taylor and Eddie Malone all of Greeneville, TN. And, was loved by David Keys for over 35 years. Her surviving grandchildren are Katy Bailey & Fred Sullivan of Lake Mary, FL, Garren & Michala Taylor of Greeneville, TN., Lindsey & Tyler Thompson of Greeneville, TN., Daniel Blevins of Greeneville, TN., and Nicole Tipton of Florida. She was also survived by Melissa & Jerry Ripley of Chuckey, TN., Tammie & Rick Dison of Montana, Elam Underwood also of Montana. Great Grandchildren are Dutton Thompson of Greeneville, TN., Erin Haun of Erwin, TN., and Clara Frazier of Chuckey, TN. Linda's surviving siblings are: Jean Bowers and Elizabeth McGill of Greeneville, TN., and Kathy & Todd Bailey of Piney Flats, TN., Lawrence Gregg of Florida, Micheal Gregg of Kingsport, TN. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Johnny Gregg, Nancy (Marshall) Gregg, and one brother Johnny Gregg along with one nephew John Long.
