Linda Sue Watkins, age 66, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away October 14, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North. Her funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Delbert Canterberry officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Richards and Mary Nell Richards; husband, Cleborn Watkins, Jr.; son, William Matthew Watkins; sister, Teresa Johnson; and brother, Elvis Ray Richards.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Michelle Scruggs (Doug), Schobie Melaine Lane (Donald), and Angel Renee Jackson (Kevin); son, Anthony Scott Watkins (Jennifer); brother, Michael Lee Richards; grandchildren, Brandi Smith, Brittany Collins, Deuce McCurley, Timothy Hewgley, Johnathan Hewgley, James Hewgley, Brandon Patterson, Renee Jackson, Dewayne Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Aaron McGee, and Devin Hathcock; great-grandchildren, Nick, Joseph, Kaiden, Bayleigh, Lakota, Eugene, Tre’yveon, Ande, Lavito, Emma, Valerie, Olivia, Riley, Desiree, and Carter.
Linda “Sexy Sue” Watkins left this cruel, painful world for one of happiness and great health. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She welcomed everyone, flaws and all, with open arms and an open heart. Her family meant the world to her; and it brought her tremendous joy to see them together and happy. She loved like no other and showed us the exact meaning of unconditional love. She was an amazing cook with a beautiful smile. She was loved by everyone who crossed her path and will forever be missed and in our hearts. We all love you.
Pallbearers will be Jason Cunningham, Dewayne Jackson, Deuce McCurley, Joshua Jackson, Nick Smith, and Joseph St. John.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kaiden St. John, and Carter Jackson.
