Obituary For Linda Gail Watson

Chesapeake - Linda Gail (Bowden) Watson, born April 14, 1940, in North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 85.

A devoted homemaker, Linda dedicated her life to caring for her family and home with unwavering love and commitment. She was a proud graduate of Princess Anne high school and pursued further education in cosmetology, reflecting her dedication to personal growth and skill development. She was devout in her Christian faith and it was unwavering until her last days.

Her homestyle cooking over the years became synonymous with her. She enjoyed traveling with her sister, Annette when able and was also an avid reader.

Linda is preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Audrey Bowden, as well as her cherished husband, John B. Watson, daughter, Susan Kelli Watson and grandson, David Bryant Watson. She leaves behind her loving son, John B, Watson, III ('Kip') and daughter, Amy Watson Wiggins, along with other family members including her sister, Annette Vinson as well as her grandsons, Spencer Messinger, Stuart Messinger and Seth Messinger and friends who will dearly miss her kindness and warmth.
