Linda Pierson Wilcox

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Pierson Wilcox on December 25, 2024, at the age of 64.
Linda was born on February 5, 1960, in Covington, LA, to the late Alton and Mary Latino Pierson of Holden, LA. She was a longtime resident of LaPlace, LA, and a devoted member of First Baptist Church of LaPlace.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gary Lloyd Wilcox. Loving mother of Joey Wilcox (Chrissy) and Ashley Jamieson (Donovan). Grandmother of Destiney Rome (Kyle), Carley Wilcox (fiancé, Kody), Gavin Wilcox, Drake Jamieson and Aiden Wilcox. Sister of Larry Pierson (Patricia), Danny Pierson (Tina) and the late Margaret Adams (Bobby). Also survived by many other family members and friends.
"It is more blessed to give than to receive" Acts 20:35.
Although sharp-tongued with a strong personality and at times extremely blunt, her generosity knew no bounds, as she always prioritized the well-being of others over her own, as proven many times.
Even though her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives, we find comfort knowing she is in a better place, and that she will live in our hearts forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace, LA.
