Linda L. Willard 76 of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 22,2025 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal, Missouri.

She was born August 14,1949 in Marion County, Missouri the daughter of Delbert and Elna Cleone (Thomas) Young.

Linda was a 1968 graduate of Monroe City High School, Monroe City, Missouri. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Monroe City, Missouri. Linda was a member of the D of I (Daughters of Isabella) and also a CCD Teacher. She was very active in her church life. Linda worked a variety of jobs over the years such as Motorola in Quincy, Il. and Kulhman Diecasting in Monroe City, MO., but her most rewarding job was caring for people as a nurses aid in the Hannibal and Monroe City, MO. area. Linda loved life. She was so proud of her sons and grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was spoiling her grandchilden and spending time with family and friends. Linda had contagious laugh and beautiful smile. She always took time out of her day to help others. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her garden. She liked to travel and looked at each new experience with a sense of awe and amazement. Linda touched so many lives and will be missed.

She married Howard Elmo Willard March 06,1971 he survives of the home.

Also surviving two sons Jason Howard Willard (Julie) and Richard Aaron Willard (Amy). Five grandchildren Justin Willard (Hannah), Jay Willard, Lane Willard, Tucker Willard, Weston Willard and Aaralynn Willard. Four greatgrandchildren Kaitlyn Schmidt, Dixie Schmidt, Davinity Schmidt and Sarah Devergen. Two brothers David and Jimmy Young. Three sisters Doris Taylor, Wanda Swearingin (Tom) and Joan Koenig (Mark). She is also survived by one sister-in-law Patricia (Eileen) Dimmitt, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother John Delbert Young, two sisters Valena Dye and Elna F. Carrick.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, December 30,2025 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Monroe City, Missouri, Fr. Christopher Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Monroe City, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, with a parish Rosary Service beginning at 4:45 pm at the Garner Funeral Home & Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri. Pallbeares will be Justin Willard, Lane Willard, Tucker Willard, Weston Willard, Andrew Young and Nathan Young. Memorials have been suggested to the Holy Rosary Church or donors choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Garner Funeral Home & Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri. Online condolences can be made at garnerfuneralchapel.com.
