Linda Wilt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by West Haven Funeral Home - West Haven on Dec. 2, 2025.
Linda Katherine Wilt, 75, of East Haven CT (formerly of Stamford), suddenly entered into eternal rest on November 27, 2025.

Born in Greenwich on March 28, 1950, a child of the late Arnt Thorstensen and Margaret (Judge) Thorstensen. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Rodriguez Wilt and her companion Matt Fuentes of West Haven; sister Debbie Ponticello (Alfred) of Stamford; nephews Michael Ponticello (Julie) of Wilton; Joseph Ponticello of Norwalk; Marc Ponticello (Alicia) of Norwalk; niece Michelle Stroud of Stamford; and Jeremy Malta of Stamford who was like a son to her for over 30 years. She is also survived by the light of her life, grandson Dominic Shultz.

From an early age, Linda enjoyed being surrounded by family. She would do anything to make her nephews and her daughter smile and be happy. You would find her going to concerts by Metallica, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and Kenny Rogers. She also loved Elvis & The Beatles. She enjoyed tag sales and thrift shopping; QVC was her favorite channel, and later Amazon became a part of her daily routine. Linda loved lighthouses and taking trips to Cape Cod & Rhode Island with her family. The combination of the two was considered her happy place.

Linda worked as an executive assistant and public relations at Eversource for 25+ years. In that time, she built a beautiful family who adored her. Once Linda retired, life changed. She was an active member of the Resident Council, the Gardening Club and a parishioner of Saint James Church in Stratford. Linda even began playing poker regularly with her friends at Whispering Pines.

Linda was a very private person, but she always took the extra step to help people and brighten their day. She would shift attention from herself and make someone laugh. If you were lucky to be in her circle, you were blessed.

Linda's services will be private, and a private memorial will be held by her family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Linda's name to Davita Kidney Care, 15 Center Street, Suite 201, New Haven, CT 06510.
