Linda Kay Wires, 68, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. She was born on July 19, 1955, the daughter of John and Anna Lee Caine. Linda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Evansville, Indiana for many years in various nursing homes. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching Food Network. Most of all, she loved spending time with family.

    Linda is survived by her her sons, Danny (Mackenzie) Goodwin of Carmi, IL, and James Richard Goodwin of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Dakota (Tara) Goodwin, Andrea (Dylan) Gallego, Desirae (Johnny) Frakes, Lacey (Tyler Bishop) Griffith, Hadara Smith, Shay (Joel) Smith, Dessa Goodwin and Jesse Tapp; great-grandchildren, Carter, Kayden, Gracie, Karson, Paisleigh, Bailey, Kamdyn, Hayden, Reese, Kenzleigh, Fletcher and Hazel; a brother, John (Becky) Caine of Ridgway, IL; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

     A memorial visitation will be held for Linda Wires from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Linda's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
