"Allow the light and the healing presence of Christ to shine brightly through your lives. In that way, all those who come in contact with you will discover the loving kindness of God."
- St. Pope John Paul II
Linda Schwister Wunderlich, 61, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away on September 21, 2025, after a long and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Milwaukee, she attended the University of Wisconsin and was a proud practicing doctor of audiology for many years.
Linda was married to Gerald ("Jerry") for 26 wonderful years. Their marriage was one of unending love with Linda's strength and dedication to family being the unbroken bond. Linda will always remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters Lauren Wunderlich (fiancée Bennett), Caroline Morton (Anthony), son Gerald (Rob) Wunderlich (Alyssa), grandchildren Ariana and Bernard Wunderlich and Ava Morton, mother Anita Bradley, sisters Diana Barkow (Glen) and Mary Crowder, any many other family members and long-term friends. Linda was preceded in death by her father Robert and stepmother Beverly.
Linda was a phenomenal WARRIOR. Her love for family was matched by her strength in her 5-year cancer battle. Linda endured over 60 chemotherapy treatments, many surgical interventions, and 2 clinical trials. Linda never complained and remained optimistic despite the ravages of her disease and treatments. Her grace and fortitude through the torments of treatment never ceased to amaze all of us. She was a vocal and dedicated advocate for Pancan (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network), where she helped educate, increase awareness of pancreatic cancer, and participated in numerous fundraising events.
Linda was a caring and compassionate person who so valued her family, church, and friends. She enjoyed reading, cooking, puzzles, spending time in the sun, and traveling. The Boundary Waters and Drummond Island, Michigan were her special places.
A celebration of life will take place at ST. MATTHEW'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1615 N. Wauwatosa Ave. Wauwatosa, WI on Saturday October 18, 2025. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of the Memorial Service at Noon.
For those so inclined, donations can be made to Pancan, The Seena Magowitz Foundation, or Caring Bridge.
