Linda A. Yunk-Zimmerman, 78, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday (September 23, 2025).
She was born July 1, 1947 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Richard H. "Deeb" Yunk Sr. and Pauline (Demyon) Yunk. Linda was a 1965 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and went on to earn her bachelors degree from Ohio University.
Linda was the director of the local Red Cross from many years, as well as a freelance D.J. at many local events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Zimmerman, who passed away October 28, 2014. They were married in 1989. Also deceased is a brother, Richard Yunk.
Linda is survived by her son, Doug (Stacey) Frencik; her sister, Carol (Joe) Hollingshead; her nephews, Jeff (Cindy) Yunk, Chris (Jodee) Yunk, Brad (Amy) Hollingshead, and Adam Hollingshead; her grandsons, Erik (Erica) Frencik and Nate (Kaylee) Frencik; and her great-grandchildren, Holden, Tate, and Lylah.
Memorial visitation hours will be held Saturday (September 27, 2025) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville, at a later date.
