A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 3:30 pm in St. Leo The Great Church for Lines Paul Huval, 91, who passed away September 19, 2025. Father Joseph White, pastor of St. Leo The Great Church, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lines' two grandchildren, Krystal McBride and Jamey Domec, will serve as lectors for the Mass. Karen Broussard, organist and vocalist, will perform "Amazing Grace", "Just a Closer Walk With Thee", 'Notre Pere", and "The Old Rugged Cross". Interment will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn McBride and her husband Tim of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Krystal McBride of Carencro and Jamey Domec of Lafayette; four great-grandchildren, Luke McBride, Lexi Lassalle, Christopher Domec, and Andrew Domec; two sisters, Velgie Albarado of Lafayette, and Theresa Thibodeaux of Lake Charles; two brothers, Kernis Huval of Sunset, and Hubert Huval of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maisie Huval; parents, Earline and Maurice Huval; two sons, Glenn and Bryan Huval; three brothers, Bert, Pat, and Melvin Huval; and two sisters, Verna Dore and Lavina Dore.
Lines was a native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He was the owner/operator of Northside Paint & Body Shop for more than 30 years, and a proud member of the U.S. National Guard.
Pallbearers will be Tim McBride, Luke McBride, Darrel Dore, and Danny Albarado.
Special thanks are extended to the Community Hospice caregivers Zac, Megan, Clarissa, and Valerie; and to Matt Palmer, the Community Hospice chaplain.
The family requests that visitation be held Tuesday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at Walters Funeral Home.
