During her early years in Demopolis, Alabama, Linnie was a housewife and neighborhood beautician. In the early 1980's, she moved to Englewood, New Jersey where she worked as a chef at The Sheraton Hotel and Holiday Inn for several years. Later on in the early 90s she became the Head Chef of all Englewood Public Schools. She worked at Janis E. Dismus Middle School for 25 years before she retired there. Linnie was a very hard worker and a proud woman. She was wise with so much respect and love from everyone. The neighborhood knew her as Madea. Her favorite thing to do was play lottery and puzzles. Linnie Lynch was born in Jefferson, Alabama on May 1st, 1935. She departed the life on August 14, 2025. She was the daughter of Howard and Mary Wingfield. She was the baby of 3 sisters and 2 brothers, all deceased. She was educated at Jefferson High School. After High School, she married Isaac F. Lynch on November 3, 1956. He pre-deceased her on November 17, 2000. On his birthday, August 8th, she began her transition and now reunited with him in glory. To that union, they had 7 children - Wendy Lucas (Raymond), Ruth Lynch, Isaac Lynch, Jr. , Gloria Lynch, all of Englewood, Dolores Glover (Melvin ), Angel Grant of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Christie Taylor (Eural B.) of Mobile, Alabama. She has 21 grandchildren, (deceased grandchildren - Donte'e Y. Lucas, Gerald L. Taylor), and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Linnie attended First Baptist Church regularly prior to her illness including serving on the Usher's Fellowship. We will miss her.
