Robert C Miller

Robert Christopher Anthony Miller, 53, of Oak Ridge, New Jersey, formerly of New Milford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 18, 2025. Robert was the devoted husband of Maria, proud father of Kyla, and beloved son of Geri Miller and the late Robert Miller. He was the cherished brother of David Miller and his wife Maureen, and the late Michael Miller and his surviving wife Maria. Rob was the loving uncle and godfather of Elizabeth Miller. He was also the dear uncle of Maria's son, Ricky Falbo. He is survived by his in laws Alberto and Amalia Arce, his brother in law Louis Arce and his wife Myrian and their daughters Katie and Andrea. He was the nephew of Bridget and her late husband John and Phil and his late wife, Nancy. He is survived by his cousins Michael John and his wife Holly, Cathy and her husband Nat, Brian and his wife Angela and Maureen. He is also survived by his second cousins Matthew and Lucas. Above all, Robert's greatest joy was his family, who were the center of his life. He was a graduate of Bergen Catholic High School, where he played hockey, and later earned his degree from Iona College. Robert carried a lifelong passion for Tai Chi, which he both practiced and taught, finding joy in sharing its discipline and peace with others. He also loved fishing, gardening, and music, lending his voice to the choir at Carnegie Hall. While at Iona College Rob was also on the Crew Team. Rob spent many years working as a social worker, helping many families throughout New Jersey. Robert will be remembered for his warmth, his love of life, and a smile that could light up any room. His presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Family and friends are invited to visit Monday 4-7PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday 10AM at St. Josephs RC Church, Oradell. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
