Sadly, our beloved, Mira Lipskaya, 94, passed away on January 11, 2024 after weeks of battling gastrointestinal system problems. Mira was born in capital of Ukraine, beautiful city Kiev. After graduating from Kiev Medical Institute with Doctoral Degree in Dentistry, she had worked as a dentist in East Ukraine for a short time, following by working as a dentist and family physician in Klavdievo, suburb of city Kiev. Mira has been a doctor for 36 years. In 1956 she met Boris and they wed in 1957, going on to have Yelena, the love of Mira's life, in 1958. Mira and her family moved to Sacramento, CA in 1989. Mira was predeceased by her husband, Boris, in 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Yelena, Yelena's husband, Alexander Verpukhovsky, grandson, Alan Verpukhovsky, and In-Law, Mikhail Verpukhovsky. Mira also leaves behind a brokenhearted, loving group of relatives and countless friends.
Mira was an amazing strong women, she was fiercely independent, and had a beautiful smile! Mira was smart, courageous, kind, generous, loving, full of joy, and compassionate. She had an impact on each person she interacted with and helped a thousands of her patients. Mira showed us what can be accomplished with determination and persistence. She lived her life to the fullest, despite her many challenges. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the gifts of being a Mom to Yelena and grandmother to Alan. Mira loved her entire family. She worried about them, rooted for them, supported and protected them, and always kept on helping them.
Mira's loss is deeply felt by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, kindness, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
