She went to school in Faribault, Minnesota at the Academy for the Deaf and Blind, graduating in 1995. Following school, Lisa worked at the CVS in Owatonna for the next 25 years. She moved to Fosston in 2020 to be near her parents.
Lisa was an artist and especially liked “diamond art”. She created many wonderful and unique pieces for family and friends. She also enjoyed helping at the DAC in Fosston and chatting with her many friends online. She had a good memory and was the “go to” person for birth dates and special dates. Though her life was not nearly long enough, Lisa made a tremendous impact on people during her life. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her parents, David of Fosston; and Deborah of Fosston; one brother, Adam Aspen of Thief River Falls, MN; and sister, Amy Aspen (fiancé, Aaron Dahl) of Fosston; three nieces, Destiny Simonson (fiancé, Asher Daniel), Mackenzie Aspen, and Aubrey-Ahna Aspen; and nephew, Eian Simonson. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lorentz and Edith Aspen Sherer; and maternal grandparents, Hilarius and Gertrude Meidl.
