It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lisa Lynette Francis, born on October 14, 1969, in Austin, Texas, who left us too early on January 12, 2025. Lisa, a charismatic and inspiring woman, touched countless hearts throughout her lifetime. She was a beacon of light that illuminated everyone's path with her radiant smile and undeniable energy. Lisa's life was a testament to Maya Angelou's words, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
Lisa was an Austin native through and through. A proud student of Lanier High School, she pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was a devoted Christian, attending North Star Christian Fellowship, now Fontaine Memorial Baptist Church, for 23 years under Bishop Lester Surges and First Lady. In recent years, she attended Austin Restoration Ministries under Bishop Lee Price and Pastor Sheila Price for 2 years. Her faith was her guiding light, and she was a God-fearing woman who praised God at all times and made it her mission to share the love of Jesus with everyone she met. She was a blessing to the worship ministry. She also helped with the children and was a transporter of the people.
Lisa was preceded in death by her loving parents, Linda Francis and James Kellogg, and her grandparents, Benny Francis and Lois Francis, and her uncle, Michael Coleman. She is survived by her devoted children Kevin Francis, Danielle Monroe, Michael Coleman, Colby Francis, and Deleon Francis, her grandaughters in St. Louis, and Alani Kenebrew in Austin, her ex-husband Leon, her uncle Charles, Gene, and Gary, and a host of aunts, cousins, family, and friends. Her legacy will live on through her children and everyone whose lives she touched.
In remembering Lisa, we celebrate a life lived with passion, love, and an inspiring faith. Her life story serves as a reminder that we can make the world a better place through love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. We encourage you to share your memories of Lisa and upload photos to her memorial page as a testament to her beautiful life. It is in sharing these personal stories and images that we keep her spirit alive and continue to celebrate the remarkable woman that she was.
