Lisa A. Hayton, 52, passed away at her home in Blue Springs, Missouri on December 16, 2024.
Lisa was a resilient, kind, and accepting woman. She had five children and frequently hosted "strays," inviting their friends into her home for weekends, holidays, and sometimes longer reprieves. Lisa was a fierce protector, looking out for her loved ones' well-being at every turn.
Lisa worked hard to support her family. At the age of 40, and with two small children at home, Lisa decided to pursue her dreams and went to college for nursing. She graduated in 2016 from National American University and happily began her career as a Registered Nurse both as a community nurse and in hospital nursing at Truman Medical Center. Caring for others was truly her passion and resigning from her position was one of the most difficult choices in her life.
Lisa is survived by her children, Patience (Mallory) Rankin, Johnathon Moore, Zane (Tiffany) Roe, Jacob Hayton, and Ash Hayton; five grandchildren, Owyn Holtcamp, Greta Holtcamp, Ean Roe, Isaac Roe, and Samuel Rankin; three siblings Bruce Daugherty, Tammy Hayton, and Samantha Becker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three sisters and both of her parents, Laverna Daugherty and Samuel Daugherty.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 802 NW Vesper, Blue Springs, Missouri.
