Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory - Wenatchee from Dec. 10 to Dec. 11, 2025.
Lisa (Coy) Jourdan was born in
Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 10th, 1956, to Chester Coy and Eileen (Hay) Roembke and was the youngest of 3 sisters. She died peacefully at her home with her husband, Greg, by her side on December 3rd, 2025.
As a young girl, she loved spending time at Grandma and Grandpa Hay's house in Denver, Indiana. In the summers she would go bike riding with cousin, Della. She graduated from South Side High School, For Wayne, Indiana in 1974. She didn't like high school but excelled in her college classes at Indiana and Washington. She traveled across the country alone in 1976 at the age of 20. She stopped in Montana briefly to work on a destination dude ranch in Big Sky and eventually stopped in Seattle to visit her sister Michelle. She then went to Alaska to work in the Aleutian Islands on a processor and found interest in refrigeration for the boats, eventually leading to an early career in HVAC. While in Alaska, she tried living and working in Fairbanks for a short time before returning to Washington State. Once she got back to Washington, she never left the state, except to visit relatives back in Indiana and in Michigan or traveling with Greg and the family across the U.S. and Canada in the summers. She especially loved going to Italy with Greg and exploring old Catholic Churches within northern Italy.
She always loved being in the woods, including, hiking, camping and mountaineering.
Lisa went to North Seattle Community College and got an associate's degree in HVAC, excelling in her classes. She found work at M.C.C. Powers in Bellevue, Wa. This is where she met her husband Greg, and a lifetime friendship emerged.
She married her husband Greg Jourdan on August 20th, 1983. Her wedding was outside on a hang-gliding platform at 5000 ft in the Cascade Mountains overlooking Mt. Baker. Her reception for her wedding was a potluck at a local county campground with smoked turkeys and dressing. Her honeymoon with Greg was a 3 day backpacking trip into the Pasayten Wilderness outside of
Winthrop, WA.
Greg and Lisa initially settled in Monroe, Washington, where they had their first son, Joshua. Lisa found employment as an HVAC draftsperson/engineer in Seattle after her wedding but the family moved to
Wenatchee, Washington so that Greg could teach refrigeration at Wenatchee Valley College.
Lisa and Greg had 3 more children after moving to Wenatchee. This included Jeremiah, Katherine, and John.
Greg and Lisa moved out of town and built a log home on the mountainside where she homeschooled her kids and managed the home affairs.
Lisa converted to Catholicism when she moved to Wenatchee with Greg and practiced her Catholic faith daily through her actions with her family. Lisa and Greg were remarried in the Catholic Church by Father Kerr in 1984 after she went through her initiation into the church.
Lisa was preceded in death, by her mother Eileen Roembke, father, Chet Coy, son Joshua, granddaughter Amelia, and brother-in-law Evan Adelson. She is survived by her husband Greg, children Jeremiah (Becca), Katherine, and John (Emily). Lisa is survived by 9 grandchildren, Jenna, Joan, Joseph, Thomas, Noah, Abbie, Silas, Claire, and David. She is also survived by Christine (Thomas) Diehl and Michell Adelson.
Her funeral arrangements are being managed by Brookside Memorial in
Wenatchee, WA. Her Catholic funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, December 12th, at Holy Apostles Church in E. Wenatchee at 11 am. Father Edgar Quiroga and Father Seamus Kerr will be the priests co-celebrating the mass for Lisa. There is a reception at the church after her burial services at the Wenatchee City Cemetery.
