Lisa J. Kammerer (nee Walker), age 61 of Barnsboro, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Born in Woodbury, NJ, she grew up in Sewell and was a 1981 graduate of Clearview High School. Lisa enjoyed her job as an Assistant Teacher at JMT School in Mantua and LOVED all her students.
She spent many summers as a seasonal camper at Holiday Haven Campground in Woodbine, NJ where fun memories were made with her family. Lisa enjoyed collecting rocks and all things nature. Her favorite place was sitting on her back porch overlooking her beautiful yard. Her best "porch sitting" was when her boys and her friends joined her.
Lisa never complained and always remained upbeat and positive. She was caring and kind and loved by everyone. She will be so missed.
Lisa was predeceased by her husband & forever love, Pete who died in 2018, and her dear mother, Joyanne "Joi" Walker. She was the best mom ever to her sons, Tyler and Jordan. Also, survived by her father, Jim Walker, sister, Kim (Dave) Rink, sister-in-law, Susan Kammerer (Leo), nieces, Jackie (Mark) and Devin (Dylan), great nephews, Bryce and MJ, and "son from another mother", Pat Golden, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends may visit from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, March 14th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a memorial service will be held at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to JMT Elementary School, 393 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 (Please write Lisa Kammerer in the memo line section on check).
