Lisa Long Obituary

Lisa Maridonn Long
Jan. 6, 1961 – Aug. 2, 2025

With hearts full of love and faith in God's promises, we announce that Lisa Maridonn Long was called Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family, scripture, laughter, and the hymns she cherished, Oh and blackberry cobbler…lots of blackberry cobbler.
Born on Jan. 6, 1961, in Altus, she lived an incredibly adventurous life that led her to live in several different states from coast to coast with her first husband and father of her children, John Weber. She finally settled in Sallisaw in 1995. Where she met and married, Steve Long.
Lisa's legacy is not one of grand monuments, but of countless small, beautiful acts of kindness and love. She believed deeply in service to those she loved and those she cared for. Her giggle was infectious; her audacity was great; her strength unmeasured.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother and best friend, Betty Montgomery; her Daddy, James Montgomery; her Dad, Donald Busby; her brothers, Micheal Busby and James Montgomery Jr; and her sister, Rhonda Kay Morgan.
She is survived by her beloved children, Tiffany and Barney Gil of Alma, Ark., John and Andrea Weber of Sallisaw and William and Catherine Weber of Broken Arrow. Her beloved grandchildren, Stevie Cogar, Kiowa Coffman, Tanner Gil, Tayla Gil, Noaha Cogar and Odin Weber and one great-grandchild, Braxton. Her sisters, Beth Helsley, of New Castle, Ind., and Dallas Turpen of Indiana; brothers, Mark Busby of Sallisaw and Terry Montgomery of Vancouver, Wash. As well as countless other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Though we mourn her absence, we rejoice in the blessed assurance that Lisa is now in the presence of her Savior, welcomed with the words, 'Well done, good and faithful servant.' Her life was a reflection of God's love, and her legacy will continue to shine until we meet again.
Funeral Service for Lisa will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Active pallbearers will be the Sallisaw Police Department.
Honorary pallbearers will be The Nurses Honor Guard of the River Valley.
