With a mix of heavy hearts and hopeful spirits, we announce the passing of Lisa Ann Proctor on January 19, 2025 at age fifty-three. Lisa was born in Chicago, IL on August 11, 1971 to Raymond and Susan Madderom. Lisa thoroughly enjoyed schooling as she earned two bachelor's degrees on her way to earning a master's degree in business management from Grand Canyon University. She put her degrees to work by creating and managing a few personal crafting businesses throughout her adult life, and always handled the paperwork side of her husband's contracting work. Lisa was always the most loving person in a room as soon as she stepped foot in it, and she refused not to recognize the good in all people. Listening to her spin any situation into a positive scenario was truly an inspiration. The thing that mattered most to her was family, and through her three-year fight with cancer she never once lost sight of that. Lisa was the definition of love, strength, and light.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Madderom, and her grandmother, Helen Freeburg. Lisa is survived by her best friend and husband of twenty-four years, Joseph Proctor; children, Kimee Bachour, Dylan Proctor, and Amanda Pratt; grandchildren, Sophia, Emma, and Aria Bachour, Malcolm and Eliana Proctor, and Timmy and Layla Thompson; her great-granddaughter, Gracelyn Thompson; her mother, Susan West; and brothers, Michael and Christopher Madderom.
A private celebration of Lisa's life will be held at her daughter's home, a place where she loved for her family to gather and watch her grandchildren play. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Lisa's memorial fund to help with final expenses and to honor her memory. Donations can be made at https://gofund.me/6a6442ac
