Lisa Tompa Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care - Indianapolis on Oct. 8, 2025.
Lisa Raye Tompa, age 62, of Greenwood, passed away on August 11, 2025. Born on September 17, 1962, in Columbus, Indiana, Lisa's journey through life was marked by her thoughtful nature and friendly demeanor, which endeared her to all who had the pleasure of crossing her path.
Lisa was the beloved daughter of Jane Burden and the late Lonnie R. Arbuckle, and the stepdaughter of Roland (Peanut) Burden. She grew up in a loving household alongside her brother, Mark T. Arbuckle, and sister, Tammie L. Sullivan. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she took immense pride in her role as a devoted mother to her sons, Taylor and Kevin B. Lisa's mother, stepfather, brother, sister, and sons all survive her.
From a young age, Lisa's vibrant spirit was evident in her passion for barrel racing horses, an activity that showcased her competitive edge and love for animals. Her hobbies were a reflection of her zest for life, whether she was serving people with her innate hospitality, basking in the sun at the pool or beach, or enjoying the thrill of playing slot machines. Lisa's laughter was a beacon of joy; its contagious nature could light up a room and draw smiles from everyone around her.
Professionally, Lisa dedicated many years as a manager at the German Park Edelweiss Restaurant, where she was not only a respected leader but also a friend to her colleagues and the many patrons she served.
Lisa's ability to talk and make friends with anyone was one of her most remarkable qualities. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, and her presence was a source of comfort and happiness to those in her community. She was a very loved daughter, sister, and mother, and legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the German Park Edelweiss Restaurant, 8602 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, 46217.
