Lloyd "Bernard" Humphries Sr., 98 years old, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on December 7, 1926, born to Lou and Berlie Humphries, in Magnolia, MS. Bernard honorably served his country in the United States National Guard. He was a dedicated hard worker and loved his family dearly.
Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Nancy Jane Humphries; 2 sons, Lloyd Bernard Humphries, Jr. and Vernon David Humphries (Linda); step-daughter, Susan Edwards (Tony); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bernard is preceded in death by his father, Berlie Lloyd Humphries; mother, Lou Vicey Brooks Humphries; 2 infant sons, Johnny and Jimmy Humphries; 1 step-son; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Brother Starr Hornsby. The graveside service with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
