Lloyd Eugene "Mac" McNaughton Jr., 79, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Oak Harbor, Washington. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud Navy veteran, Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of integrity and steadfast love for his family.

Born on August 14, 1946, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Mac was the son of Lloyd McNaughton Sr. and Alda Mae McNaughton, both of whom preceded him in death. Raised in Seminole, Texas, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1968, serving in the Vietnam War. Over the next 23 years, his service took him to New Mexico, Guam, Diego Garcia, Alaska, Washington, and aboard the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier. Mac retired from the Navy in 1991 and continued his career with the U.S. Civil Service until his second retirement, always carrying with him the discipline and loyalty that defined his years in uniform.

Beyond his service, Mac was happiest in the quiet moments of daily life like tackling a crossword puzzle, enjoying a baseball game or old Western movie, sharing stories, and texting friends across the country about the weather.

Married for 55 years to his beloved wife, Geralyn (Sullivan) McNaughton, he often said she was his greatest blessing. Together they raised two daughters, Rebecca McNaughton and Christie Hall, who, along with his four grandchildren-Cora Skinner, Matthew Hall, Adam Hall, and Brenna Skinner-were his pride and joy. He is also survived by son-in-law Tom Hall, a sister, cousins, and several in-law siblings.

A memorial service will be held in New Mexico where family and friends will gather to reminisce and honor his life.
