Lloyd "Smokey" Hershel Stover, Jr., 82, of High Point, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at High Point Medical Center.
Born October 23, 1942, in Bryn Mawr, PA, to the late Lloyd Hershel Stover, Sr., and the late Dorothy Eleanor Simmons Stover.
Mr. Stover retired from teaching at the Guilford County Schools and was a tax preparer for H&R Block for over 20 years.
He is survived by his son, Brian Stover (Tanna Johnson) of Arizona, daughter, Tricia Finkbeiner (Matthew) of Australia; grandchildren, Cooper and Lexi Finkbeiner; and his brother, Robert Stover (Janice) of Georgia.
Memorial services will be conducted at Our Lady of the Highway Catholic Church in Thomasville. Day and time to be announced.
Inurnment to follow in the Holly Hill Memorial Park.
