Lela Virginia Cameron Hilliard, 95, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Hospice Home of High Point.
She was born May 14, 1930, in Anderson County, SC, to the late Edmund Cornelius Cameron and the late Paralee Sherman Cameron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas “Tommy” Ben Hilliard, Sr.
Mrs. Hilliard, affectionately called “Nanny” by her grandchildren, dedicated her life to her family. She was a great cook, loved gardening, painting, and dancing, and was loved by all who knew her. She also found solace watching the natural beauty of hummingbirds.
Those left to cherish her memory; daughter, Sharon Beeson and husband Clark of Jamestown; son, Tom Hilliard, Jr. of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Erin Micciche and husband Mike; Ryan Beeson and wife Emily; and her great grandchildren, Grady Beeson and Thea Beeson.
A private graveside will be in the Guilford Memorial Park cemetery.
Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point, is in charge of the arrangements.
