LLoyd Harold Webb

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and friend Lloyd Harold Webb. Lloyd was born to Harold Webb and Sandra Torr in Salem Oregon on 6/22/1936. Lloyd grew up in Portland, playing sports and developing an obsession for fine automobiles. He graduated from Washington High School in 1954 and attended Portland University studying business. Lloyd would soon marry his sweetheart Brendy Joy Thompson on 7/25/1959. They were best friends and lovers for 65 years. Lloyd and Brenda had three children, Alan Webb, Jeffrey Webb, and Carolyn Newell. Lloyd became a District Manager for Chrysler Motors in 1959. He performed this job for 5 years before purchasing the Chrysler Plymouth Jeep Dealership in Kennewick WA in 1964. He became one of the youngest new car dealers in the state of Washington at age 28. He would own and operate this dealership for 14 years before selling. Lloyd then became a stockbroker at Foster and Marshall for 3 years in Tri-Cities Washington. Lloyd's desire to get back into the new car business led him to purchase Rex Motors of Vancouver 1983. This dealership was soon changed to Metro Buick Oldsmobile. Lloyd later added Saturn and Nissan to his new car dealerships when he moved his business to Auto Mall Drive in Vancouver. He owned and operated these facilities for 20 years before his oldest son (Alan) became the owner.

Lloyd's hobbies and passions were of course automobiles. Playing slow pitch softball in Arizona for 19 years, Seahawks football, and dabbling in the stock Market. Lloyd also enjoyed traveling with his wife, and family activities.

Lloyd will be deeply missed by many. He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda. He is survived by his three children, 6 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
