Lois E. Barth of New Castle, DE passed away on April 6, 2025.
She was born on March 13, 1951, in Hockessin, DE to Jane and Walter Barth. Lois was a beloved sister and friend. She is survived by her sister, Susan Barth.
Lois moved to New Castle in 1986 and taught art and special education in the Christiana School district until her retirement in the early-2000's. Lois was an avid gardener, an advocate for conservation and an active volunteer in her community. She was a docent for the New Castle Historical Society, a gardener for the Dutch House and often contributed her skills to the Mount Cuba Center. One of her favorite activities was as the volunteer gardener at the Old Library Museum in New Castle where she actively maintained this historically valuable property for many years.
