     Lois Jane Copp, age 93, of Lake City, IA, and formerly of Glidden, IA, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Accura Healthcare of Lake City.

     A visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a memorial service held at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Ben Carter-Allen officiating.

     Arrangements are entrusted to the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

     Lois was born on November 28, 1931 in Lake City, IA, and she was the daughter of Leland and Margaret (Dunn) Hanks. She grew up in Auburn and graduated from Lanesboro High School with the Class of 1949. Following high school, she attended the St. Anthony School of Nursing and earned her nursing degree. On October 11, 1950 she was united in marriage to Howard Copp at the First United Methodist Church in Carroll. She worked at St. Anthony Regional Hospital for two years and then was employed for several nursing homes in the area until 1966. Lois lived in the Glidden area for 49 years before moving to Auburn in 2011. Lois spent many winters in Apache Junction, Arizona. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glidden where she taught Sunday school, Bible school, and helped with the Mary Poppins pre-school. She was also a member of Entre Nous. Lois enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and taking care of her large flower and vegetable gardens. She was a devoted mother to her three sons and loved camping, fishing, bird watching, and spending time outdoors.

     Lois is survived by her two sons, Daryl Copp (Phyllis) of Windsor, CO, and David Copp of Lake City, IA; two granddaughters, Colette Ramos and Crystal Copp; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     Lois was preceded in death by her husband Howard Copp in 1999; her son Jim Copp in 1973; her parents; and her three sisters: Joyce Evans (Ralph), Jean Schachtner (Harold), and Shirley Winter (Dean).
