Lois (nee Paulsen) Danese, 89, of Manasquan, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday November 28, 2024. Lois was born and raised in Paterson, NJ, where she was a graduate of St Bonaventure High School, Paterson. She received her nursing degree from St Joseph School of Nursing, Paterson. After her graduation, Lois worked as a pediatric RN at St Jospeh Medical Center, Paterson. Lois married her husband Bernard in 1958. They moved to Brick NJ and started their family, before eventually moving to Shark River Hills, Neptune. Lois and her husband retired and moved to Four-Season at Wall in 1997. There Lois was very active in the Four-Season community. Cherished her many friends and neighbors. She was a member of many clubs and enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bocce, and bridge. Lois and her husband were snowbirds in Bradeton, Florida for many years.
Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years Bernard "Ben" Danese in 2017, her parents John and Florence Paulsen, and her brother Jack Paulsen. She is survived by her loving children, Robert Danese and his wife Jody of CA., Gregory Danese of FL, and Lisa Danese of Neptune, NJ. Lois was the cherished grandmother of Kyle, Giancarlo, and Gianna. Lois also is survived by many adored nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday December 6, 2024, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at St Denis Church 90 Union Avenue Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow at St Anne Cemetery, 1610 Allenwood Road Wall, NJ 07719. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital by going online to www.stjude.org. To send condolences to the family please visit www.orenderfamilyhome.net
