Lois "Jean" DeLaMater, 79, of Richland Center, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2025. Jean was born in Boscobel, on October 17, 1945, to Myron and Freeda (Hughbanks) Richardson and raised in Steuben. She married Carl on September 30, 1967. They had 2 children, Carla and Charles "Chucky". Jean retired from Allen-Bradley in 2009, after working there for 38 years. She enjoyed traveling and took several vacations with Carla, after her retirement. Jean was involved in community organizations and events. She was an active member of the Richland Area Crime Stoppers, American Legion Auxiliary, the Richland Food Pantry, and Richland Area Senior Citizens, among others. Jean also believed in giving back and made many charitable contributions. Survivors include her daughter Carla (Sarah) of Platteville, sisters Judy Cornwell of Prairie du Chien, Cathy (Dave) Gregurich of Antigo, Milda Lacy of Verona, sister-in-law Laurie Richardson of Boscobel, her "bonus" daughter Tammy Rynes of LaValle, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, infant son Charles, her parents, and several siblings. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center. Visitation will be held at Clary Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. The American Legion Auxiliary will honor Jean with a Poppy Service before her celebration of life services begin. A luncheon to follow immediately after services, provided by the American Legion Auxiliary. Jean will be laid to rest privately at the Sand Prairie Cemetery, alongside Carl and "Chucky".
