Born in Erie on August 2nd, 1925, the daughter of the late Hattie Stankowski and Clarence Strick, Sr.

Lois was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was employed at McCarty Printing for 20 years in the Bindery Dept. and the International Bakery for 18 years. Lois was a member of several church ministries including Dorcas, Ladies Aid and LWML. 

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Gressley, her son Joseph J. Gressley Jr., three brothers, Micky Strick, Robert Strick and Richard C. Strick and two sisters, Dorothy Strick and Betty Koen.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Gressley and her son, Chris Gressley and wife Denise all of Erie. She is further survived by four grandchildren: Missy DePalma, Joseph Arnold and his husband Tim Williams, Jessica Rettger and her husband Ken, and Anthony Gressley, and two great-grandchildren, Ariel Rettger and Christopher Rettger and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friends are invited to Trinity Lutheran Church 14 E 38th St, Erie, Thursday June 20, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
