Lois Ann Lalosh Fricke, a beacon of warmth and kindness, peacefully departed this world on August 28, 2025, in Lexington, KY, at the age of 77. Born in South Fort Mitchell, KY, on January 23, 1948, to the late Mingo Lalosh and Lillian Adams Lalosh, Lois was a devoted matriarch and an uplifting presence in the lives of those she touched.
Throughout her life, Lois exemplified the virtues of love and generosity. Her journey began with the cherished role of a homemaker, where she nurtured her beloved six children: Jeffrey (Katherine) Fricke, Stephen (Terry) Fricke, Jill (Jeff) Price, Eric Fricke SMSgt USAF (ret), Scott (Jessica) Fricke, and Richard "Dickie" (Debbie) Fricke. Her warmth extended to her several adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she treasured with all her heart. Lois's siblings, four sisters, Linda Danko, Stoya (Rick) Lay, Leslie England, and Lyra (Chuck) Miller, alongside many nieces, nephews, and cousins, will fondly remember her infectious spirit.
Lois's husband, Richard Fricke, predeceased her, marking the end of a loving partnership. Her legacy, however, will be carried on through the extensive family that meant the world to her. In addition to managing her bustling household, Lois explored various professional paths. She worked for a catering company, drove a school bus, and welcomed countless patients as a receptionist at an urgent care center, each role benefiting from her care and concern for others.
An active community member, Lois participated in numerous organizations. Her passion for service shone through her involvement in the Community Police Academy, her dedicated membership in the Bourbon County Homemakers Lynnwood Chapter, and her commitment to the First Baptist Church in
Paris, KY. Through her work with the WMU Ministry and local food bank, she lived out her Christian faith, embodying the gospel's call to serve the least of these.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Lois Ann Lalosh Fricke was a testament to loving-kindness and a faith-filled heart. She fostered a legacy of compassion and community spirit that will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left upon this world. Her memory will continue to light the way for those she loved so deeply.
