Lois Joy Largent, born in Douglas, Wyoming on January 11, 1935 to the late Ruel and Orma (Erickson) Stratsma. She departed this life on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Lois moved to Cave Springs, Arkansas her senior year and graduated from Bentonville High School. She attended the University of Arkansas to earn her teaching degree. While being a teacher at White Rock School in Jane, Missouri, she met Bill Largent. They celebrated 69 years of marriage on May 19, 2025. To this union they had four sons. She spent a lot of time fishing with them but also enjoyed hunting and camping. She earned the title of "camp cook" because of her great cooking ability.

Her interests also included sewing, gardening and canning. And because she was an avid reader, you could always find a Louie Lamour western novel in her hand. She also worked for years in the office at the Bentonville Livestock Auction which they were owners.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Miranda Largent.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Largent of Bella Vista, Arkansas and sons, Stanley Largent of Rudy, Arkansas; Harlan and wife Helen Largent of Pineville, Missouri; Joe and wife Darci Largent of Montrose, Colorado; Gaylan and wife Nancy Largent of Billings, Montana; grandchildren, April, Mike, Brandon, Trevor, Casen, Aubrey, Shaelyn, Cara, Hunter, Lehton, Miranda and Amanda; along with many wonderful great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Stratsma and wife, of Hobe Sound, Florida.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri, with Pastor Mark Sumler officiating. Burial will follow at Jane Cemetery in Jane, Missouri. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Casen Largent, Dewayne Largent, Ron Largent, Curtis Largent, Darin Largent and Mark Vansickle.
