**Obituary for Lois B. Maupin**
Lois B. Maupin, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on March 21, 1938, in Steubenville, Ohio, Lois spent her life embodying strength, warmth, and a zest for life that touched those around her.
Having graduated from high school, Lois dedicated her career to the steel industry, where she worked diligently as a grinder at Canton Drop Forge. Her unwavering work ethic and commitment to her craft were hallmarks of her character, and she was respected and admired by her colleagues and friends throughout her years in the workforce.
Lois was a proud member of the Eagles Club - Aerie No. 141 in Canton, Ohio, where she enjoyed the camaraderie of her peers and the joy of community. She found solace in reading, relished the opportunity to travel, and delighted in lively table games like "Sorry." An avid Bingo player, Lois reveled in the thrill of the game, often accompanied by laughter and stories shared with friends and family.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Oshel Martin, husband Charles T. Maupin, brothers Earl Martin, Donald Martin, and Walter Martin Jr., and sisters Darlene Seeman, Dixie Dimos, and Joyce Rhonding. She is survived by her son Randall Dalton (Cheryl), daughters Vickie Vees (Brad) and Connie Booth (Tim), brother Darrell Martin (Annette), sister Kay Foster, 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, stepsons Walter Smith, Charles Maupin, and Robert Maupin, stepdaughter Christine Smith, and faithful dog Holly.
In honor of Lois's remarkable life, a Funeral Service will take place at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel 705 Raff Road SW Canton, OH on Tuesday July 29, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM, preceded by visitation starting at 12:00 PM. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
As we gather to celebrate Lois's life, we will reflect on the laughter, the memories, and the indomitable spirit she brought to this world. She will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to light our way.
